Ben Wei, Founder & CEO
Ben Wei was born in Nanchang, Jiangxi Province, China.
After graduating from high school, he moved to Japan to pursue his studies.
Following the completion of his undergraduate studies, he was selected as a Japanese Government (MEXT) Scholarship recipient and proceeded to the Graduate School of International Social Sciences at Yokohama National University, where he obtained an MBA.
After graduation, Ben began his career at a major Japanese manufacturing company, where he was responsible for overseas sales. He later joined Recruit Co., Ltd., gaining experience in corporate sales before transitioning into the recruitment industry. Since then, he has been deeply involved in career advisory services and corporate talent strategy.
Ben spent approximately two and a half years at Robert Walters Japan, specializing in mid- to senior-level recruitment for multinational companies. He then joined RGF Executive Search Japan, the executive search firm of the Recruit Group, where he served for nine years.
Throughout his career, Ben has led numerous high-level and confidential executive search assignments, primarily within the foreign-affiliated SaaS/PaaS and cloud vendors, IT and DX consulting firms, and SIer sectors. In addition to his role as a search consultant, he has also served as a team leader, acting as a trusted partner to senior executives in their decision-making processes.
In 2026, Ben founded Ascend Executive Partners Inc. and assumed the role of Representative Director. He currently works as an executive partner, supporting both leadership career development and organizational growth for his clients.
